The Atelier Protocol: What to Expect
-
The Protocol: You must bring the exact shoes, undergarments, and shapewear you plan to wear with the garment. A shift in heel height or a different bra will completely change the drape and hemline of your piece. If you arrive without your final shoes or undergarments, we will kindly ask you to reschedule your fitting to ensure our Standards are met.

ere is the exact copy for your Atelier Protocol. I have included the standard tailoring questions, but I’ve also added the critical "blind spots" that protect your time, your machinery, and your peace of mind.
You can copy and paste these directly into the Accordion block on your Squarespace site.
The Atelier Protocol: What to Expect
1. What must I bring to my fitting? (The Golden Rule)
The Protocol: You must bring the exact shoes, undergarments, and shapewear you plan to wear with the garment. A shift in heel height or a different bra will completely change the drape and hemline of your piece. If you arrive without your final shoes or undergarments, we will kindly ask you to reschedule your fitting to ensure our High Standards of precision are met.
2. Does my garment need to be cleaned before my appointment?
The Protocol: Yes. All garments must be freshly laundered or dry-cleaned before altering. Worn or unwashed garments hold tension differently, which can result in an inaccurate fit. Additionally, pressing unwashed fabric during the tailoring process can permanently bake invisible oils or stains into the fibers. For the protection of our studio equipment and your wardrobe, unwashed garments will be returned for cleaning prior to service.
-
The Protocol: CBA Sews Atelier is designed to be an intimate, private space where we can focus entirely on your silhouette. To maintain this focused environment, we ask that you limit your entourage to one or two trusted guests whose opinions you deeply value. ALL guest outside of person being serviced require pre-approval
-
The Protocol: Our standard turnaround time for bespoke fittings and structural adjustments is 14 days. If you require a faster turnaround for a last-minute event, an Atelier Rush Fee will be applied. Please note: Vintage reclamations and complex artisan reconstructions are quoted on a project-by-project timeline.
-
The Protocol: Your fitting is a collaborative architectural process. Once your garment is pinned, the timeline agreed upon, and you leave the studio, the structural work begins. Any changes to heel height, undergarments, or design requests made after the initial pinning will require a new fitting appointment and may incur additional restructuring fees.
-
The Protocol: Because your fitting reserves dedicated, one-on-one time in the Atelier, a non-refundable $50 deposit is required to secure your appointment on our calendar. This deposit is directly applied to your final tailoring total. Should you need to reschedule, we kindly ask for 48 hours' notice so we can offer the studio time to another client.
